Environment
IBM acquired multiple companies; Truven, Phytel, Explorys, and Merge Healthcare to create IBM Watson Health. Truven had the biggest insurance database in the nation with 300 million covered lives, Explorys provided a clinical data set of actual electronic health records kept by health systems representing about 50 million or so patients, Phytel added on top of that, and Merge had a huge imaging database.
Challenge
IBM had all this data and assets and wanted to provide a single solution to the healthcare market using AI and Machine Learning technology to uncover patterns that physicians and anyone else can’t possibly find when looking at that data, given all the variables in it. They needed to assemble sales, product, and technical resources to integrate these disparate solutions into a single IBM Watson solution.
Result
TTG was engaged to help lead this massive effort to fill dozens of roles across multiple IBM Watson search partners. In less than 6 months, TTG completed 43 search assignments including sales leadership, sales and business development, product management, clinical solution representatives as well as recruiting multiple technology development teams. TTG was the most successful firm IBM Watson hired for this project placing the lion’s share of the open roles.
